Flow Integration

Overview

R+ Wishlist Flow Integration lets you build automated workflows triggered by wishlist activity in your Shopify store. These workflows are created inside Shopify Flow and rely on three core building blocks: Triggers, Conditions, and Actions.

  • Triggers are the events that kick off a workflow — in this case, actions users take within the R+ Wishlist app.
  • Conditions define the criteria that must be met for the workflow to proceed.
  • Actions are the tasks that get executed once the trigger fires and conditions are satisfied.

R+ Wishlist supplies the triggers whenever customers interact with your wishlist, while Shopify Flow's visual designer lets you define all the logic and follow-on steps. For a broader introduction to Shopify Flow, visit the Shopify Flow overview page.

Supported Triggers

The R+ Wishlist integration currently supports four triggers:

  • Variant added to wishlist by Authenticated user — fires when a logged-in customer adds an item to their wishlist.
  • Variant added to wishlist by Guest user — fires when a guest (non-logged-in) visitor adds an item to their wishlist.
  • Variant removed from wishlist by Authenticated user — fires when a logged-in customer removes an item from their wishlist.
  • Variant removed from wishlist by Guest user — fires when a guest visitor removes an item from their wishlist.

How It Works

Whenever a customer performs one of the supported wishlist actions — such as saving a product variant — the R+ Wishlist app sends an event to Shopify Flow along with all the relevant data about that action. From there, your configured workflow takes over and automatically carries out whatever steps you've defined.

Once you publish a workflow, it runs in the background without any manual intervention. Every qualifying wishlist action after that point will trigger it automatically. You can find Shopify's step-by-step guidance on building workflows in their create a workflow help doc.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to get your first wishlist-powered workflow up and running:

1. Install Shopify Flow If you haven't already, install the Shopify Flow app from the Shopify App Store.

2. Create a new workflow Open Shopify Flow and click the Create workflow button.

3. Select your trigger In the visual workflow builder, click Select a trigger and choose R+ Wishlist from the list of available apps.

4. Choose a wishlist event Pick the specific trigger you want to act on — for example, Variant added to wishlist.

5. Add an action Click Select an action within your workflow and define what should happen next. For instance, you could configure Flow to automatically send your team an internal email notification each time a customer adds a product to their wishlist.

Once everything is configured, activate the workflow and it will go live on your store immediately.
