How to manage Custom Locations

Intro: Learn how to manage your app’s custom locations. "You can add, edit, or delete locations, and change their status. You can also add custom pins, create custom fields, and import or export locations.

Below is an overview of how to manage locations in the R+ Store Locator app.


Add Location


Click Add Location to open a modal where you can enter details about your location.

Fields

Field Required Description
Name ✅ Required Enter the name of your location.
Address line 1 ✅ Required Enter the street address and building number.
Address line 2 ⬜ Optional Enter apartment, suite, unit, etc.
City ✅ Required Enter the city.
Country ✅ Required Select the country from the dropdown.
Latitude & Longitude ✅ Required Auto-detect the coordinates by clicking on the “Detect” button. If detection fails, enter the coordinates manually using manual guide.

Shop Location

Connect Shopify native locations with your app's custom locations to display them in the Store Availability block.

How it works: By default, the Store Availability block shows only Shopify native locations, since they are directly connected to product inventory. After connecting locations, the block will display your custom location information while using stock data from the linked Shopify location. This allows customers to see accurate availability along with your custom location details.

Custom Pin

Change the appearance of location pins on the map by adding a custom pin. Enter the full image URL starting with https://    .

By default, the app uses its own map pins.

Custom Favorite Pin

Set a custom pin that will be displayed when customers add a location to their favorites, making it easier to spot on the map.

Open Hours

Display business hours for your location.


After configuring the settings, click Save.


Locations table

Here you can view and manage all your locations.

Tabs:

The All, Active, and Draft tabs allow you to filter locations by status:

  • Active — The location is visible on your storefront
  • Draft — The location is hidden from your storefront

You can change a location’s status by clicking the Show/Hide button.


Quick actions:

Each location includes the following quick actions:

  • Show/Hide — Toggle the location visibility
  • Trash — Delete the location
  • Edit — Open the edit modal to update location details

You can also search and sort your locations to quickly find what you need.


You can search your locations and sort them.


Bulk actions:

Select multiple locations to access Bulk actions, where you can:

  • Change location status
  • Export selected locations
  • Delete selected locations

Export / Import

Import

Click the Import button to open the import page. Here, you can upload locations from a .csv file or download a template to get started.

Export

Click the Export button to download all your location data as a .csv file.

Localize

Click the Localize button to open the Translate & Adapt app, where you can manage translations for your locations.


Manage Custom Fields

The Manage Custom Fields feature allows you to create or delete custom fields for your locations.

Once created, these fields will be available in the Edit Location modal for each location, allowing you to add custom information.

All Custom Fields values will be available in frontend helper.
